“ the 43nd International Holy Quran Competition” of the Islamic Republic of Iran

In the Name of Allah the Most Compassionate the Most Merciful The Organization of Endowments and Charity Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran with reliance upon divine guidance and in pursuit of disseminating the teachings of the Holy Quran strengthening the unity of the Islamic Ummah and honoring distinguished reciters and memorizers of the Holy Quran from across the Islamic world will organize “the 43nd International Holy Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran” in January in the sacred city of Mashhad.

• General Requirements for Participants:

1. Possession of the required technical proficiency in the chosen category (preferably among the top winners of recognized and reputable national competitions of the nominating country).

2. Holding the nationality and citizenship of the nominating country.

3. Permanent residency in the nominating country (having resided permanently in the country of origin for at least one year prior to the competition).

4. No previous attainment of first place in any previous editions of the International Holy Qur'an Competitions of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

5. Age between 18 and 40 years. (For the Full Memorization of the Holy Qur'an category, the maximum age permitted for participation is 35 years.)

6. Observance of official and dignified attire appropriate to the sanctity of the Holy Qur'an throughout all stages of the competition, whether in-person or virtual.
