Iran's Mission to the United Nations in New York, in response to accusations from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France regarding Iran's role in the Ukraine conflict, made during the open meeting of the United Nations Security Council on July 25, 2024, clarified in a letter to the council: The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that it has maintained a neutral stance since the beginning of the Ukraine conflict, and this principled position remains unchanged. Iran has always adhered to its commitments and continues to fulfill them. Therefore, any claims of Iran's involvement in the sale, export, or transfer of weapons in violation of its international obligations are completely baseless and are categorically rejected. Iran once again affirms its unwavering commitment to upholding international humanitarian law.
